Lalu Muhamad Jaelani is a professor of geomatics engineering at the Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS). He obtained his S.T. degree in geodetic engineering from ITS Surabaya, Indonesia, in 2003. Subsequently, he earned an M.Sc. degree in Remote Sensing Science and Technology from the National Central University, Taiwan, in 2010, and a Ph.D. degree in Integrative Environmental Sciences from the University of Tsukuba, Japan, in 2014.
Currently, Dr. Jaelani serves as a Lecturer and Researcher in the Department of Geomatics Engineering, Faculty of Civil, Planning, and Geo-engineering at ITS Surabaya, Indonesia. He imparts knowledge in Terrestrial Surveying and Mapping, Spatial Computation, GIS, and Remote Sensing. His research specializes in remote sensing applications for water and air quality, precision agriculture, Land Use and Land Cover (LULC), disaster mitigation, and all related geospatial technologies for environmental sustainability.
